"Major Sheppard? Major Sheppard, come in, please."

John opened his eyes, realized that he was still in Evan's bed, thought that he shouldn't still be there, then closed his eyes and snuggled against Evan's warm body.

"Major Sheppard, please respond."Damn it. John reached out and flailed at the nightstand, finally grabbing his earpiece and ( Read more... )

"No idea." John scratched at his chin, then wandered to the restroom. He came out again after a minute, having relieved himself and slapped on some deodorant, and dug around in the drawers until he found the fresh underwear and t-shirt that he'd stashed away.

When they reached the gate room, the morning sun was streaming in through the stained glass behind the gate, making a rainbow appear on the steps. "It's Dr. Martins, sir. the head of computer science. Apparently, his staff just emailed him last night and no one knew he was gone until this morning."

John shot Evan an exasperated look, while asking, "You call Doctor Weir?"

"She's on her way up, sir."

Blinking wearily and holding onto her coffee cup like it was the Holy Grail, Elizabeth walked into the control room. "Major, who's missing?"

"Martins. Apparently his computer nerds just emailed him rather than actually talk when checking in, so no one noticed he wasn't around." John eyed Elizabeth's coffee longingly, then said, "Might be a good idea to ask if anyone's seen him lately."

He looked at Evan. "Lorne, I'm thinking teams of two. If any civilians or Athosians want to help, pair them with one of our guys. We'll start with quarters, then labs, then start going door-to-door through the tower."
