Second Life!
Shep got himself a Second Life account, with property and everything. So naturally I joined him. We're only sorry Rodney can't come along too, since Fledge can only manage one of us at a time... He's a bit disdainful of the whole idea though, says he prefers realistic interaction [on IRC]. Funnily enough, that's what Fledge's partner says, too. Some people just don't know how to have fun ;-)
Here are a few screencaps I took from the beginners' section, Help Island. I stayed there for a day, to learn the ropes, then took off into the world proper to meet up with Shep and go exploring. First thing we did was to buy me a panther costume; Shep's gift, since he has a lot more money than me (he owns property) and I only had my crummy starting allowance. I figure I can make it up to him some time, when I've saved up enough to get him a present in return.
Incidentally, they don't let you have just any name, so I had to call myself Sheppard Newell - it's a pun on the fact we (that is, Shep and I) think Jack O'Neill is our father. So if you visit, look out for me by that name, not John.
I'll be taking more pictures, and posting some of them, as I play; so watch out for new Second Life posts. Fledge will put pointers in her lj too, since I know not many people watch this one.
Oh, and for those of you 'in the know' about what I get up to in RP, don't worry; I'll keep all my posts and screenshots PG ;-) I just want to show you all the cool stuff I get up to!
