“You’re a good friend.”
Elizabeth’s simple statement echoed in his mind. Sure, they were friends. And if he were forced, he’d have to admit that he considered McKay a friend.
But he knew that she had meant something more. They both knew it - even their wordless communication was evidence.
But they were out in the middle of nowhere in a foreign galaxy, commissioned on a one-of-a-kind military expedition. And if anyone thought to ask, they were still “just friends”.
