He sat on their bed, the pain he felt was worse than any he’d experienced before, he felt so empty, he felt like he had broken into a thousand pieces and would never be whole again. Silent tears ran down his cheeks, he had taken most of Carson’s possessions back home to his mum in Scotland, but he had kept a few things for himself; photos of the two of them, reminders of the love and the life that they shared together. Carson had been his best friend and his lover and right now Rodney had never felt so alone.
