I feel like I'm taking a cold. Ugh. Not again!
Brandon and I bought our hardwood flooring this weekend, and are hoping to work on putting it down in the living room and hall next weekend. I'm so excited! I'm also so sick of carpet it's not funny. Plus the fact that I spilled bright blue paint on it the other day and am now covering that up with a rug. Me + carpet = disaster.
The audit at work has been pushed back until next week. Woohoo! This is good news, especially since I wasn't ready for it. lol. So I have more time to get everything completely done before the CPA comes. I actually went in to work early this morning to get ahead, but I ended up running out of steam by about 4 p.m., so it evened out in the end, unfortunately.
I went to Ryan's this weekend with a bunch of Brandon's family (he stayed home. He was tired from school.). On the way back, I pretty well expressed my dislike of Sherry, and Patty told me I probably won't like any of DJ's girlfriends, that is if he doesn't end up marrying Sherry. She says I'll always dislike them, at least at first, because I'll feel like they're taking my place. And I guess that's true. It's actually really nice to have a mother-in-law that I can really talk to about stuff I would talk to my mom about. Sometimes she pisses me off, but then again, so does my mom. lol
We went to eat with my mom & dad last night and I sat in one of the recliners. I decided that recliners are not all that bad after all. We watched Minority Report and had baked turkey, dressing, green beans, mashed potatos, corn, pecan bars, strawberry cobbler, and brownies. 'Twas a feast, and the leftovers made for a really great lunch today.
