The end of Summer...

Aug 25, 2006 01:26

Pretty bored tonight...haven't been updating lj as often because I actually got a paper journal thingy to write my thoughts in...i still like that better...just feels more personal to me. Anyway, we are moved into the Exchange...number 914!!! Woohoo!!! I am very happy with it, not so much about the water pressure, but what can ya do...there is no such thing as perfection. My room is pretty much up and running...few more additions that I would like to get, but sadly the cash fund is pretty shabby :( Oh well, when Sept. 6th rolls around I will be doing much better because that's when we get financial aid. I have also applied for a job, but I am not sure how I feel about that. I'm also not sure how I feel about my room arrangement, only time will tell. So, I am totally not ready for school to start, and am rather unhappy about the whole deal. Where did my summer go?? Well, I'll tell you where, me wishing I was her so I could be around Marc. Life can be so bittersweet and confusing at times. Even when I'm here sometimes I don't feel that I am seen on the radar. I was a actually supposed to be going home till Saturday, but that did not work out, and I am kinda bummed about that. I mean I know other weekends will happen, but still it is not the same. Maybe I will go home next weekend, that is not really a weekend that I want to go home on because I would rather be here to hit up a few parties and stuff, but my mom really misses me and I feel like I need to go back asap since I disappointed everyone this weekend. Even though it really wasn't my fault, it was Honors Council's fault. Honors Day at the Rez is Saturday...what joy...I am kinda excited...but working the event for two hours in the hot sun is not exactly my cup of tea. However, I will make the best of it.

Last weekend I went on a trip to Jacksonville with Marc. I took him too see his favorite team...the North Carolina Panthers play the Jaguars. It was fun, even though I wish we could have done more and seen more of Jacksonville. Tonight I hung out with Beth and Jen and we had some girl talk pow wows in their rooms, well minus kim...she has been going to bed quite early lately. Girl Talks are nice...it's nice when people can relate to your predicaments. Tomorrow we are going out to celebrate Chelsea's birthday...woohoo...YAY CHELSEA!!! I dunno what we are gonna do after that...personally I have wanted to play some Cranium as of late, but we shall see. I also would like to get some sun, but I do not know if the weather is going to permit such an activity. I'm so tired all of a sudden...gnite.
