Congrats USA womens beach volleyball
Yeah, we did cheer when Misty May-Treanor and Carrie Walsh won the gold medal tonight. Too bad China got the silver...but they were undefeated until the finals, so they did well also. I want to watch Knocked Up and Be Kind Rewind. Any good? We won a bunch of movies from the beach volleyball tourney this past weekend, so hopefully in the next couple weeks I will watch some of them.
Kan Jam tournament went well...Dan and I did pretty well for not practicing with each other for countless months. It's only 40 games of frisbee, how hard could that have been? After the regular season, when they announced the playoff rankings I went up to the cottage and placed 5th in the King of the Beach volleyball tournament. Then we played volleyball all day Sunday, as if we didn't play enough on Saturday. Monday my body did not like me, and at work everyone asked me why I looked dead. I took a "sick" day yesterday and today everyone thought I had the Norwalk Virus, and continued asking me if I was vomiting or had diarrhea. Some people knew I just needed a mental health day. It was my first day off in 6 months, so it was well over due.
I wanted to go to Rockstar Mayhem Tour at Darien Lake, but no one could get off work. I'm glad I didn't spend money to go there and hang out with old, smelly Slayer fans and young hot topic kids. I only really wanted to see two or three bands, so whatever. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices and not go to shows. It's hard but I think I will deal. Soulfly's new album is in stores...not sure if I should buy it or get it through a file sharing network, thus not paying the artist. Although I did support them the last time they came to Buffalo, so they owe me, right?
