I realized I didn't say anything about my trip to Philadelphia when I came back to Buffalo. The people we stayed with were amazing. Dan's uncle used to be a disco DJ and has a sweet set-up in their tv room, so he would be spinning records and we had dance parties. We went to this place called Whiskey Tango and although there was a $7 cover, it was a pretty cool place. Good cover band, cheap beer...what more could you ask for? The Sabres game was okay....
Dan made a cool sign that said "Marty Come Home" and they checked it at the door...no problem. We go down to the ice where the Flyers come out and the ushers come down and start reprimending us for the signs (other people brought ones that said basically the same thing). Supposidely it was against Wachovia's policy...which the ushers didn't even know themselves. "No signs, during any games...ever." That would have been alright, except on the other side of the rink, were 4-5 Flyer fans' signs. hmmmm. There was a fat kid who was younger than me yelling at me, telling me to go back to Buffalo, get out of PA, my team sucked, etc. I was talking to some of the adult Flyer fans, who were really nice and even called Wachovia to talk to the management about the signs, and they got yelled at on the phone. The majority of the Philly fans were cool....it seemed that all of the obese fans were assholes. They are probably pissed because they are fat...and their team finished in last place this season. When I went over to where my friends were (and the large amount of Sabre fans) we started a shouting match against the Philly fans on the other side of the arena. Needless to say, we show up early to taunt you and win that match. I don't even care that the Sabres lost, Conklin needs to work on his stuff. I'm glad that the Leafs aren't in the playoffs. Go Sabs
Girl Talk maybe tonight...if tickets aren't sold out.
