I was scheduled two weeks in a row second shift in Lewiston, last week and this week. I wouldn't really mind, but the supervisor who does the scheduling, it seems doesn't look at things like that. Maybe it means I'm flying under the radar, which I am completely alright with at this time in the beginning of my career. I just want to hear the words "You can begin your promotion letter this week" and "Congratulations, you are now a career conditional permanent employee in the Buffalo office." That will be the best Christmas present ever for me (start date December 23, 2008).

My dad said he would turn the ac on in my room here at home around 9 when he went to bed, but he instead turned it on at 5 and off at 8. So I came home to a sickening hot room and almost passed out when I walked in from my 3-11 shift. We put an air conditioner in the kitchen/dining area/family room...it's very nice.

I leave Sunday for 2 weeks of training in DC; Rockville, MD to be exact. I'm a little angry because I need to take this course in order to take others training courses....butttttttt wtf, don't interrupt my summer! I guess the hotel is nice though and I've already been looking at area restaurants and breweries/pubs. One woman in our office who I'm going with is insane. We call her Dora (the explorer) because she LOVES exploring and plans out her daily activities weeks and weeks in advance. No Dora, I'm not buying tickets with you to go see the musical Mary Poppins. No Dora, I'm not going to buy tickets in advance for an Orioles game. It will be fun.
