the storm has hit
prayer request time: About a year ago, my grandpa was diagnosed with dementia and basically had the onset of Alzheimers. I should also add that over the years his ability to hear and see has decreased dramatically. Well, last week he fell when walking to the store and fractured his face in two places. Thankfully a neighbor found him and called the police and supposedly he couldnt tell them who he was or where he was. When i went home this weekend, i noticed a dramatic increase in his Alzheimers and it had only been two weeks since I had been home. For example, he asked me three times within a 20 minute time periond when i was going to be heading back to school. He's been doing weird stuff (too long to explain) for a long time but its gotten worse and we really can't leave him home by himself anymore. What makes things worse is that it has been very emotionally and physically draining on my grandmother and for my parents as well. I have a feeling its going to be a hard summer for everyone.
