See the line that says direct link? Click inside that line and a small bubble will pop up saying 'copied.' Then go into your livejournal post and right click your mouse, and choose 'paste.' That gives people the ability to see your photo, although it won't be in your post directly. But it's a start, and very simple to do...hopefully my directions make it easy enough to understand too. I think everyone in equestrian would enjoy seeing pictures of your horse, even if it meant clicking on a link to get there...
Housing with animals is tough. I don't understand how living in your car allows you to keep your horse though. I think it takes very creative solutions, such as free leasing your horse to someone else for a year, or allowing someone to use her as a broodmare in exchange for training (if she's suitable to be bred I don't know), free lease her to a high school student, plaster the local tack shops with postings looking for a place to rough board.
As for other animals, when I got mine I kept in mind that housing is a problem if you don't own a house. I knew that one small dog was the limit if I wanted to be able to find an apartment. Its a tough thing...I understand where landlords are coming from about animals and I understand where pet owners are coming from too. Part of being a good pet owner is making sure that part of your life works. If they're living in the car with you, their quality of life is compromised as well. Maybe some of them would be happier in different homes? I don't know how many pets you have, but I know here in VT you can't be made to vacate an apartment in the winter. You should have at least until spring, unless the health code thing overrides that.
Okay, that does sound easy and in a few minutes I'll try it. As far as renting. Well, maybe you don't know but the winter thing was changed three yrs ago. You can be kicked out at any time of yr. I am very up to date with the renting thing and receive a new copy of Renting in Vt each time one comes up. A have a lawyer, a very good one working on the problem here with this house. First of all it is a retaliatory eviction so I can't be made to leave except at the end of the whole trial thing possibly. But for the better of our case we were leaving on our own and have already told the court taht so I have an appt with lawyer thurs. I have had a horse or more right here in this area since 1969.I have never had to pay for pasture and have othrs even pay me to keep an animal or two on their land to keep it down. I have my own little barn whcih we constructed in a way so it can easily be moved. I have had to live in my car before for two months with three little kids. You do what you have to do. I would live in a tent on a friends lawn in the winter before I ever parted with even one dog, I have five. I do like to have my horse right here with me but have had to many times in the past bunk them in with a friend and go there daily to care for it.I have not had to do that but don't like their care left in the hands of another. Oh, no, I would never let her go elsewhere, not for a day as far as lease for any reason training or breeding. I only breed anyhow when I want another for myself and then they stay with me for life for better or worse. Not worse for them though I dont mean.I have weathered some fairly tramatic situations in life and have never got rid of my horse because of any of them and some of them sure have been doozies. No, I take away from myself way before an animal would suffer. If I should have to tent I would need those five dogs anyhow. I need two at night just to keep warm in here. Oh, and I guess if I would have got animals after becoming an adult I might have collecdted less when not owning a home but I got my horses way before that. I was 9. I have taken care of them myself financially since age 12. I had to have bake sales to do it sometimes. I do have dogs I really didn't ask for right now. The humane society and vet here have a habit of calling when theres no room at the inn sort of to say and ask me to take them. I went down and rescued two unneutered male brothres two yrs ago who weighed full grown 48 and 63. They now weiegh 74 and 105. It took a long time with the very best of feed to get them to that weight and by then they had my heart and have thus stayed.As they age and pass on they will not all be replaced. My health and finances just don't allow it anymore. So hope this helps with knowing more of my situation. I hope so anyway. I really do appreciate your kind words and trying to help me with this posting problem. I have a few things I have to get ready for my lawyer and then I will give it another try. I really would like you to see her. She is what she is. I love her lots though and she is very special to me. For sure one of the sweetest horses out there. The vet just loves her and thought she was part Fresian but she isn't any.Thanks for the attempt at helping me. I'm a hard one to help with stuff like that.
Okay I do think maybe I'm making progress here. I know you are likely laughing and that is okay, I would laugh too. I did see direct link and click,did see bubble thingy saying copied. I then did what you said and went to the post and right clicked,chose paste and it did go on the post. The first time in black and white, the second time in blue. I then tried to add another as I had four. When I add more they go side by side and run off the message area so you have to scroll sideways to read tehm and they all run into each other. The short one line text I wrote above the link thing goes away also. Then I hit preview and you could see the links all together side aby side like said and the text was now like had the words all separated far apart. So just what the hell could I be doing now? I hate to even ask you to bother with this more. I do realize most would have likely got it the first time. I really would like to get it though. I checked out the LJ cut thing again and it now looks to be easy. It's been awhile since I looked it over and it may be possible I have advanced a bit as it does look like something I can manage.
