Balthier makes very sure not to let his mental grin slip through to the physical; he does not doubt that Ashe would misinterpret, and he is entirely too contented at the moment to wish to engage in another verbal wrangling, as entertaining as those tend to be.
Ashe murmurs something indistinct, and Garnet reaches out languidly to stroke her hair. They drift off to sleep, and Balthier takes a moment to savour his role.
