I think I'm easy to please because I enjoyed PotC3 despite the gaping plotholes and the lack of funny. I liked gratuitously wet!Will and Keith Richards and the idea of Tia Dalma as Calpyso. The monkey was cute too! But upon reflection it was probably the worst of the three movies. At least I laughed a lot in the second one. >: I could go on about the plot holes but dwelling on them kind of makes me "meh" so I'd rather not (though WHY KILL NORRINGTON WHY?).
I'm guessing trilogies are not going so great this year. Spiderman 3 was not awesome either and I've heard Shrek 3 was kind of fail too. It makes me worried about Oceans 13 because aldklskj please be better than O12. ;o;
Lol, the monkey totally stole the show. I am biased believe me, I had high expectations for PotC3, I mean I had just watched PotC2 a week ago and was a little dissapointed but not entirely. But it just makes me tired and angry with the movie industry and American society as a whole when I see movies like that.
Have you seen Ocean's Eleven? 'Cause that movie puts my faith back in Hollywood. XD (It's old. Came out in 2001.) I have hopes that O13 will again restore my faith. ::crosses fingers::
Also, was there a point to them being the Arctic and having poor monkey-named-Jack freeze like that?
Yes, Ocean's Eleven wasn't bad. I actually enjoyed the character interaction and was impressed they kept up with the dialogue without making some of the characters dissapear. I loved how it followed everyone yet kept the story in line.
Ocean's Twelve... sucked. I thought Ocean's Eleven ended perfectly, there was no reason for a sequel but I love Catherine Zeta-Jones so I recovered. I still stand by my opinion it was an uneccesary film, but decent.
The third... I have no words for how much I hate trilogies, but if it keeps with the all star cast it should not dissapoint as much as the rest of this season's trilogies.
No, what about firing the monkey from the cannon? Or having Keira Knightley make out with everyone? No point, but evidently Hollywood thinks we want to see that.
