why can't i...sleep? (ha..you thought i was gonna bust out in that liz phair song, didn't you? fools..) it's 3:46 a.m., and quantum leap is over for the night. as of now i'm watching bug juice on disney channel...not the lowest point of my nocturnal activities, but pretty darn close. this tess of the d'urbervilles book is a real downer..i mean, first, she kills her father's only horse, then she gets "taken advantage" of by a guy who lies about being her cousin to gain her trust, then she gets pregnant by him, then the baby dies...THEN she goes to work at dairy farm, meets a guy, gets engaged, BUT just when everything starts going right for her, she confesses of her past relations to her husband on her wedding night of all times..which hurts him profoundly, even though it was not her fault in the slightest AND the jerk had just confessed to "visiting" a prostitute TWICE (talk about a double standard)..THEN he deserts her for a year, THEN she gets a really hard job on a farm..and THEN the guy who raped her comes back and starts pressuring her to marry him...THEN her father dies, and her mother and six siblings are evicted...TALK ABOUT A CRAPPY LIFE. geesh. and to add to all those miseries, i just found out that the guy who plays napolean dynamite is a mormon..AND he goes to brigham young university...again, geesh...
