Stats/Permissions Meme
Name: Shahrazad al-Rahman (FOR THE RECORD in IRC, anything starting with Shah or Shaz will ping me, as will the more traditional spelling of her name, Scheherazade. ICly, I'll be playing it as any spelling/pronunciation of the name will be heard as the same thing)
Age: ...hahaha! As I said in my app, she's described in the novels and the manga as looking like a young girl, apparently 16-20 years old. I don't think she has an official real age, but she's definitely one of the younger generation(s) of Methuselah, but older than Radu and Ion. Most likely not any older than 150, max, and probably on the closer side of 100?
Hair: Black/blue-black. Long and wavy.
Eyes: Purple, or mauve if you want to get more technical.
Height: ...well, she wears stilettos all the time. Canonically, she looks a few inches taller than Esther so I'm placing her at around 5'3".
Weight: Nothing official, but she's definitely healthy. She's fit and has a great figure.
Accessories: She wears earrings, but her most prominent accessories are her gloves, which cover all the way up until almost her shoulders. Yes, the long nails are part of the glove. They have the alternating orange and purple...gem/orb things attached, but the cloth is white. I will go into detail about what the gloves do in the "Abilities" section.
Bloodtype: ...nanomachines that feed on human blood cells :3 From Radu, who took it from herit: Bacillus Kudlak, a straptococchus-shaped bacterium with haemolytic traits which has a high presence in the Methuselahs' blood, is a microscopic parasite and reason for all superhuman powers of the long-living. Silver causes the Bacillus to stop all activity at once, hence, can lead to death like a strong poison.
Medical info: ...is very healthy because the bacillus give her good regenerative powers. Past injuries include getting partially fried by sunlight and probably tortured afterward. >:
Physical traits: Chocolate-brown skin! Reaaally pretty. She's got very long, very nice legs and a figure to die for. Stronger than she looks, etc etc.
What's okay to mention: Most things? No spoilers please because I plan to update when the manga gets there, and she will be wary if you know things you shouldn't, but she likes people >: May gently correct people who call her a vampire, but is pretty understanding about it.
Notes for the psychics: Loves Terrans as equal to Methuselah, is probably worrying about her servants and Esther at any given moment. There's probably a healthy amount of grief for her uncle in there, but it isn't overwhelming.
Abilities: She has the typical Methuselah abilities of superspeed, superstrength, agility, healing, and so on. Her special ability though, is her gloves! SHORT STORY she can use them to sort of control the air and...well, blow things away. She has a great deal of fine control with them too.
LONG STORY her gloves are super special futuristic technology. In canon, they're described as a "special sintering crystallization device [...] employs a high level of piezoelectric technology [...to generate] electric currents using the crystals." I totally thought this was FAKESCIENCE but no! The scanlators had this note about them:
"Sintering crystallization is a process where power is put under tremendous pressure and well...crystallized. The crystals can then be used in Piezoelectrics, where large masses of electric potential are generated using crystals."
Some examples of materials that exhibit the piezoelectric effect are quartz, sugar cane, and bone, so basically, Shaz's gloves run on...interesting things! (I may use Splenda in camp for crack purposes, who knows). Obviously in real life piezoelectrics aren't at that level, but from Wikipedia: "The effect finds useful applications such as the production and detection of sound, generation of high voltages, electronic frequency generation..." I assume she can do all that, but she mostly seems to use the aforementioned electric currents/air blast-type things.
Shapeshift/bodyswap/etc.: Just ask first! I'm not in the main chan as much these days, at least when school's in session, but castmates from most canons I play should be able to reach me. I'm also on gchat at lochnessasaur and respond to emails.
Hugging/Kissing/Nicknaming: First, IC nicknaming is aaaallllll good. For the others, sure! She'll hug kids and younger people back probably, and may...politely request that older/obviously perverted people stop.
Fighting: Ask first! Shaz is generally peaceful unless someone else needs protecting or she's being directly attacked. Then she'll own your ass.
ETA: SO APPARENTLY when Shaz flips her shit, she becomes really hot and also a total killing machine. Unless you cheat and hit her with UV rays 8(
Maiming/Killing/Death: Again, ask first! She'll heal pretty well from maiming unless it's uh...see Radu's post on How to Kill a Methuselah. For the moment, I'd like to ask that she not die unless it's obviously cracky because [she's going to die at the end of the arc anyway, and I want to update once it's over.]
Cooking: ...I don't know. She does have servants though, so she probably doesn't do it often, if she knows how.
