She feels...alone
Never alone.
Teyla sat in silence and slightly hunch over, on the worn bench that was far from the simple Athosian settlement. Her mind was pondering over the many things that had had happened in the last few days. Things she would rather forget. Through teary eyes she stared at the grave stone before her and let a little whimper escape.
“I am sorry Charin” she said, her voice trembling with guilt and regret. Then, sensing a presence behind her she wiped her tears on her sleeve and straitened up.
“Is there something I can help you with, Doctor Becket?” she said firmly, trying to hide the sadness she felt.
“I am not intruding am I?” he answered her back kindly, folding his arms across his chest. She shook her head, but did not look at him. He slowly walked over to where Teyla was sitting and reluctantly took a seat next to her, not knowing whether he should stay or not. There was a silence between them, as he contemplated over what to say. He knew nothing that he said would ever take the pain away, but he also knew that if he said the right thing, he could at least hope to ease it.
“ I heard you sing the other day. You have the voice of an angel love” Carson said as he hesitatingly put an arm round her shoulders. Teyla smiled sadly and a tear made it’s way down her cheek. Carson wiped it away with his thumb. He looked at the gravestones that were laid out in front of him and was surprised to see how many had the name ‘Emmargan’ engraved on them.
“My farther used to take me here after my mother died. I used to put a beautiful white flower down by the grave.“ Teyla started.
“But after my farther died, I just stopped coming. Because deep down, I did not want to accept he was really gone, that I was…alone” Carson’s heart sunk as he watched Teyla trying s hard to hold back her tears.
“And now that Charin is gone. I truly am.”
As teyla finished she lent against Carson who held her closer to him. he sighed and gently kissed her on the temple. Closing his eyes and whispered.
"Youre never alone"
