conlaroja translated an interview of Iker Muniain for Marca and it's so hilarious that I need to share it with you!
Is there anything that Iker Muniain doesn’t do at top speed?
¡Ufff! What a question to begin with! I don’t know. Will going to bed be an adequate response?
It’s because everyone talks about your speed, the speed with which you do everything.
(Laughs) Well, that’s the way I am. Speed is my weapon and I try to exploit it as much as I can.
That, along with a self-confidence that makes you seem like a veteran.
It could look like that, but I’m the youngest and I don’t forget about these things.
There’s not one teammate of yours that doesn’t talk about the “enano” affectionately. Do you feel important on this team?
I know. I feel it and I love them a lot too. They take care of me because I’m the youngest. More than a team, we’re a group of friends.
Thiago and Muniain are the future of the future national team. Did you know that Del Bosque is keeping an eye on you two?
I’m thankful for that, but we can’t do anything else but to follow this path.
What a brood of lions (Athletic) we have on the U-21 team, no?
There’s four of us here and the club should be happy and proud.
Tell us about Javi Martínez.
He’s a world champion! He’s so young, and he’s already played 170 games in the Primera and he’s been in a World Cup. What can I say about Javi!
Has he told you many things about South Africa?
Yes, yes. I ask him about it a lot and he’s told me great anecdotes. He tells me that they had a great time and that he’s never going to forget it.
And yeah, apparently Iker's nickname in the U-21 is "midget". XDD Too adorable!!
