Pray for Japan

Earthquakes and tsunami disaster in Japan was very tragic and saddening. I saw video footages on fri morning after I heard about the news on the radio. It was shocking and surreal seeing all the buildings, cars and ships swept away like tiny little toys. I've been watching the reports on bbc and nhk world this weekend. I've just been crying and I'm at a loss for words. I don't think anyone can be prepared for these disasters no matter what. There was a story about one of the cities which have suffered similar tsunami tragedies in the past that took the lives of 20,000 people and they built this giant 10 m wall around the city to prevent it from happening again. Yet they couldn't stop it from happening and watched their city get swallowed up by the water... The survivors' stories... it's so heartbreaking to watch... How do you get back to life after this?

It just reminds us again of how vulnerable we are and how our lives can be cut short in a matter of seconds and minutes. We should enjoy life and love the people around us and appreciate what we have.

It's also very touching how nations and people came together to help each other. Ganbare nippon! I'll be praying for the people in Japan...
