So, I just dunked a blanket into the washing machine after it had already filled up. Y'know, in hopes that it'll wash as well as the others. So my hands and my arms (up to my elbows) got covered in really cold, detergent filled water. I guess that detergent had a crazy reaction with my skin and it's making my hands tingle and every single cut on my hands are stinging like crazy. Pretty nuts.
So, someone's house blew up about 20 miles from here around where I grew up at. I thought that was pretty crazy but the first thing I figured it was due to was a meth lab. Those crazy rednecks love their meth. But it wasnt. It was a propane line that wasnt recapped when they replaced the furnace. Pretty damn crazy. It blew the damn walls off of the house and the roof fell in. The only girl that was home got blown into the front yard when the house exploded when she walked in the door and broke her arm. And all their pets except one cat was found. So I think it turned out pretty well, especially for having your house explode. When I was little, I was deathly afraid of our house blowing up even though I've never had gas anything until we moved into this apartment. haha. I just used to see that shit on the news and it would scare the piss out of me. Just like when they show all the stuff about people's houses burning down around the holidays. I was so scared of that too.
I'm pretty excited about the 14th. Nation of Suspects, Smash Points, the Pillage, and the Skuds are playing in Augusta for Mike, Jenn, and Eric's birthday. I like Jenn a whole lot and I liked Mike a whole lot until he got a girlfriend and now he's a weenie. He's whipped beyond all belief. Not just enjoying his relationship, but I mean WHIPPED. I dont know Eric very well, I only met him for about half a second. But it should be a good time. I havent seen the boys from NOS since we were out in Tejas in August. So that will be a lot of fun. I think we're gonna stay there pretty much all weekend. Cant wait.
We're having a little spurt of good shows coming through the area. Next months the Toasters and Go Jimmy Go are gonna be playing at the Georgia Theater. That should be a lot of fun. I'm pretty sure that everyone is going and possibly some out of towners would like to come and visit and drink and dance. I wont be dancing, but I'll watch other people. The last time I danced was at the ska night at Sproke Broke. Hahahaha. Yeah, I was wasted and I dont plan on looking like a drunken fool again. Then in March, Dropkick Murphys, the Tossers, the Horrorpops and Sick of it All are gonna be playing the Masquerade. The advance tickets arent *baaaaad* so I think I will go ahead and get some as soon as I figure out if Travis is going or not. As Tony so put it on myspace... we'll probably all get "schnookered" in the parking lot before hand. hahahahaha. That's the best. Drinking the Masquerade parking lot. I cant think of how many times I've done that. It's the best. Abandoned city vehicles all over the place, school buses and shit, and everyone hangs out out there before the good bands go on since the Masq is no re-entry. I've met sooooo many cool folks out there and drank, which means you're automatically friends. haha.
Speaking of drinking in that parking lot. Okay... one time before we left Athens, we went and ate somewhere and I ate bow tie pasta. Atlanta is 70 miles away so it's about an hour and a half drive. Then we started drinking in the Masq parking lot. I was trying to drink as much as possible before going inside so that I would atleast be buzzing. Well, I opened a PBR can too fast and it was all foamy but I blew some foam away and started drinking it anyway. Well, y'know when you drink foamy beer or beer too fast you'll get what I call the foamy-pukes. You puke, but it's not because you're sick. It's more like the foam is taking up way too much room in your stomache and your stomache will push it out. So I threw up, and when I did, I threw up some pasta too... but get this shit. It was bowtie pasta remember? Well, it was still in the shape of bowties. What the shit? Isnt that weird??
I'll leave you with that thought.
