The gastro people gave me the finger!
I had my gastro appointment today, I basically had to miss almost all day of work, thats okay I have paid sick days! Basically this is what is going on: The gastro lady told me that I dont have to get a biopsy done because to do that I would have to go back on a gluten diet so that when they go in there they can see my intestines inflamed, which she didnt want to put me through all that pain so she said she'd just pass on that. WHEW. I still have to get some form of a colonoscopy on thursday, the prep for it is just nasty, but i will live. Then on friday I have to go to the hospial again to get this thing done where they have me drink iodine (if thats how you spell it) so they can track it through my system with X-Rays and make sure that I dont have any tumors or growths that shouldnt be there. The iodine just makes everything show up better on the X-Rays.
Today I got examined and the gastro lady neglected to tell me that she was going to stick her finger right up my behind! GOOD GOLLY! I feel so violated. Thats okay in a couple days I'll have recording equiptment up my bum. I also had to get my blood drawn so they could make sure that my blood count was normal and to see if my thyroid was in check. Thats basically the update. I feel fine, I'm a little worried but I know that when its all over I will feel so much better just knowing whats going on in there, good or bad.
I just wanted to say thank you to the people who have been there for me through all of this even if you just asked how I was doing or told me you were thinking about me. Thank you it makes me feel incredibly blessed.
