I got in! I am officially admitted into Arizona State University. I love this whole online status checking they have no. No waiting forever for an envelope to get here, though I am keeping my eyes out. I need to have them change my degree though, for some reason it's a BS instead of a BA. A BA has lower math requirements (I suck at math) and requires a second language ( I want to learn french! And I want to spend one of my summers overseas in a french immersion course).
So needless to say,it is all becoming very real to me. I can't believe I'm finally going back. I have become so withdrawn and just plain bored living in New England, that I haven't felt any real excitement about something for quite awhile, until now. I'm so excited! And after I talk to an adviser, either in person or over the phone I can apply for my classes in like March. How cool is that? I will probably be leaving after 4th of July so I have time to find a part time job for my weekends. I'm going to really have to work my ass off both in school and work. I can't wait.
I'm also looking forward to planning things out at my grandma's house. Part of me wishes I could do the whole dorm thing again and have a real experience..but I would feel silly at 26 living in a dorm. Who knows though, if I apply and get accepted to the honors college, maybe I can try for dorms my second year. It would be less crowded and confusing then the craziness of my grandma's house and, they have some wicked nice dorms that were built not that long ago.
I've sent a request to have mt transcripts analyzed to see what credits will transfer..I know I'm going to have to take math no matter what but that's the only thing I worry about really. I have a lot of trouble in that area so I will definitely be taking advantage of the tutoring services.
I'm so excited! I finally get to have a real college experience for something that I find absolutely fascinating. Plus I get to have my first full blown road trip, granted it will be tough with a cat and a rabbit..I should be able to handle it. <3<3<3<3<3
