Well things are going full force hectic but fun!

I turned in my paper on Monday. I can't believe the difference the details make. At 12 point font, double spaced which is what my professor requires to read anything it was 20 pages + biblio and endnotes. At 10 point font, single spaced which is what the conference wanted and is way to tiny for my poor eyes to read, it was 7 pages + biblio and endnotes. But it is in! So see me next week giving a paper on Citizenship law during WWII in Germany and United States (re: the Holocaust and the internment of Japanese Americans)

So I am going to leave on Wednsday and spend the night half way between Belgium and Austria. Then get up on Thursday morning and complete the trip. We will be in Salzburg Austria. After the nerve ranking speech *rocks backs and forth* Betafish and I will go on an interesting tour:

Cultural Tour 1: Introduction to Salzburg: Mozart and The Sound of Music

We will meet in the lobby of the conference hotel (Hotel Stieglbrau) and then set out for approx. 60-90 minute walk that provides a general orientation to beautiful Salzburg. We will see sites where Mozart was born as well as composed. We will also see the gardens where “Maria” (Julie Andrews) taught the Von Trapp children to sing “Do-Re-Mi!” We will conclude with a stroll through the medieval (and older!) part of town, ending up at the impressive cathedral.

We will stay Thursday through Sunday night in Austria then we will be departing towards Germany. I haven't booked any hotels so far there and debate about doing so or just leaving it up to fate as hotels are everywhere in that region. Our first stop (where we are thinking of staying 2 nights is near) Neuschwanstein also known to many as the Disney castle :-) - lovely picture here - http://architecture.about.com/od/greatbuildings/ig/New-Wonders/Neuschwanstein.htm

We have from Monday to Thursday night to spend in Germany and we have to be back in Brussels on Friday to return the car. I think it is going to be a lot of fun!

This does of course mean I will not be online or on lj from Wednsday the 5th to the 15th. I will miss everyone horrible of course but hey castles!

Grins - and dragonydreams will be out to visit in April *bounce*
