Ficcish updates.
Ficcish stuff is crazy these days. I really, REALLY need to work on crisping up my plotting on my SII AU. I love it and really want it to go well but plotting it is a mess. I know where I want it to go but getting it there while keeping the character true to his roots... well... that's another matter.
At the same time I've had a couple of other fic ideas jump out at me. One was this odd mixture of a fic based on the Ultraman and Superwoman from the JLA: Crisis on Two Earths cartoon and one that is part LnC/part Ultraman/Superwoman. How that's going to work exactly I have no clue but it's been on my mind and has a tiny bit of the beginning written (although I suspect this one could EASILY be given up in a bunny donation sometime). I thought about trying this in the movieverse but for whatever reason I couldn't wrap my mind around any other uni except LnC so that's what I'll have to write it as. *shrugs*
I also had one that was "Pre-Crisis on Two Earths" Ultraman/Superwoman. But before I write either this one or the one above of those fics I need to read the Earth Two: tradeback about the antimatter universe because I don't want to get the "Hard facts" wrong when writing them.
The concept of writing a Fleischer origin fic is still shaking around in my mind but I don't see it being written anytime soon. I feel like there's so much more for me to research before I'm comfortable getting the voice for that one. For whatever reason, Superman from that series speaks very little while Clark is very vocal. Also, I need to rewatch ALL over the Fleischer/Famous cartoons before I feel ready even though there is next to no mentions of his backstory in it except a 15 second blurb at the beginning of the first one.
On the last fic front I have a bit of a fic percolating in my mind for Eureka using a Fargo/Jessica Lansky pairing. It's a long story as to what caused me to think of it (part of it having to do with my own personal history) but it's percolating. It might happen though.
Don't know my word counts. Besides, I know the next five days are going to be a wash. I still have 400+ pages of Great Expectations to finish reading by Friday. Bye for now! *skitters off to read some more*
