Oh, they're totally coming back. This show is like X-Files - nobody's really dead until you see Scully Sylar cutting the body apart. And even then, there's always the chance that they'll come back in the form of Sylar impersonating them.

(Or not. . .Sylar can't impersonate anyone until he kills Eve, and didn't Niki/Jessica kill her?)

(I don't think there's an Eve -- do you mean Candice, the mindbender/shapeshifter?)

*nod* Yeah, that's what I think, too, and hope. But I can't help the tiny niggling fear that I'm wrong...

I got so excited over the Hiro-in-Tokugawa-Japan bit. I hope they spend some time on it, instead of just whizzing him back to the present (or the future, or further in the past --who knows, with this show?) because it's bringing out layers of history-obsessed geek in me that have long been suppressed. And I was really confused about why Claire didn't want to shoot Peter, too, since I figured his invincibility meant it wouldn't so anything.

Yes, Hiro in Tokugawa Japan is mega-exciting! Especially given that I have, for the past few years, been working on unearthing and developing the history-obsessed geek part of myself, rather than suppressing it. And East Asian history in particular. Whee!

Time travel -- especially because we just saw Peter do it, too -- opens up some really fun fic territory...

It does! But I actually have some doubts about Peter time-traveling. I mean, no one except for Simone's dad saw him, which sets off little radars in my head that this might be something different. Also, he didn't pop back into the present in a Hiro-esque manner, but was shaken awake by (Noah!!!) Bennet. Of course, that doesn't mean it can't be exploited for fic purposes, since even if this wasn't Peter time-traveling I'm pretty damn sure Peter can and will time travel eventually, but I just got the sense that this was more Simone's dad's (Charles?) doing (maybe his power was hopping into dreams, or manipulating dreams, like the random Indian kid Mohinder met a while back). Anyway, I'll stop. You can tell I overanalyze stuff, huh?

Ooh, true, very true. I'm really hoping we hear more about the previous generation next season; there's still so much we've only gotten glimpses of.

*grin* Overanalyzation is the stuff of life!

(was referred here by pandoradeloeste) I was wondering the same about why Peter didn't fly himself away here. Also about Claire's hesitation to shoot Peter, and quite a few other things too, but yeah.
