I was hoping more people would tackle the Weber-Suter breakup! This was delightful, and it really brought in one of my favorite aspects of hockey fic, which is the enormous supporting cast in both team and league members and seeing the different ways they interact-- I loved the friendship with Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood (particularly the little details of things like the vegetarian meals and such), and the presence of Zach Parise and what he means in the whole picture. (Particularly this line: So when Shea says "I'll miss you" and "getting to play with you was the best thing that ever happened to me," and Sutes says "yeah, me too," well, Shea's okay with the unspoken "yet" that goes with that sentence, because at least he knows they both really mean it for right now. At least there's that.. Because it's so emotional and yet so matter of fact at the same time.)

And even though I know basically jackshit about the Preds and the Wild, there's a lot of great little details about them that come through in the story, so that as a lot of fun.

Oh man, thank you so much for leaving such lovely, detailed feedback, I really really appreciate it. And I am super pleased that you enjoyed it! I had a really good time writing it, and I'm so happy to hear that you thought all the ensemble stuff worked well, it's something I was a little worried about just in terms of getting the balance and flow right, so. Emotional yet matter of fact is in a lot of ways the exact tone I was going for for Shea's internal voice, so it's great to know that came through, too.

Thank you again, so much. This comment totally made my day. ♥
