There is so much canon for that pairing, it's kind of ridiculous. I don't think I even included any of the quotes where outside observers like Morrow discussing how much confidence Eriksson gained playing with Richards, which I have to think came not only from their on-ice success but also the way Richards mentored him off the ice. I love Richards calling him one of the top players in the league "whether he wants to admit it or not"! And when he was asked who he'd pick for his team if he were captain of the Western Conference All-Star Team, he immediately said Loui. :D
