I'm trying to stop myself from being all "I didn't even want to be in this stupid state in the first place." Because that's just not fair, even if it is sort of true. There's a lot of good about California. I guess we'll just have to see in another ballot cycle how things go. Or maybe something'll make it to the Supreme Court.

But right now, I'm just so sad. Sad and angry and incredulous.

I don't know, maybe... But I did too! I really did. Maybe that's what makes this so crushing, because even though intellectually I knew it might, emotionally-speaking, I really didn't expect it to happen.
