I had an amazing time at Comic-con and will hopefully get around to posting a summary -- highlights include Terry Moore of Strangers in Paradise, Kevin Smith, the Heroes and Supernatural panels (I should have taken notes! Especially of the Heroes panel, which was fabulous and full of slashy goodness and a ton of hot), hanging out with my much-loved soon-to-be-ex roommates, and drinks with the wonderful and highly entertaining
technosage and
just_katarin (yay!).
But at this particular moment, I just feel the need to reiterate that I am so going to the special hell. Because I just saw Hairspray... which means Zac Efron/Link Larkin is now totally stuck in my head. *facepalm* The boy is nearly a decade younger than me. But those eyes! And the
singing and dancing! Gah. I may have to watch some High School Musical soon... Amanda Bynes/Penny was totally adorable, too, and Queen Latifah kicked ass, as she is wont to do. I liked Nikki Blonsky/Tracy and Elijah Kelley/Seaweed a whole lot, and it's always a pleasure to see Alison Janney. James Marsden was brilliant as Corny Collins, and Michelle Pfieffer and Brittany Snow were fine as the bratty blond antagonists. There were some painful moments, mostly courtesy of Christopher Walken and John Travolta as Tracy's parents, but overall this movie was made of shiny, happy, sparkly joyous win.
