1) Yes, there will be children there, but there won't be the screaming hoards you are imagining. No one will expect you to look after them. No one will hand you a baby. Their parents will not be asshats. They will not get in your way. It will be fine.
2) The sewing and making is done. There will no longer be lots of people in your house. There will no longer be vast amounts of mess created in your house. There will no longer be people touching and moving your stuff. Chill the fuck out.
3) There will be plenty of kick-ass Marcher women. Yes, I know that every image of a Marcher in character gen/the costume booklet/trailer is a man, there were no images of Marcher women in "unisex" clothing or armour in the wiki, all the re-en groups joining the Marches is full of fighty men, everyone involved in fighting talks is male, the command rank seems to be shaping up as a complete sausage-fest and EVEN THE FUCKING EGREGORE OF THE MARCHES IS A MAN....There *will* be some kick-ass Marcher women who fight and are awesome and don't take any shit from anyone.
