Pride & Predators- 13th-15th May 2011
So, some of you might have heard me frothing about an event called 'Aliens and Alienation' or a system called 'Masquerades and Massacres'.
It is Regency-era LARP, with a heavy dose of fantasy (think Temeraire and Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell), has in-character damage calls ("Ha!", "Take That!", "Grrr!" etc) and is just amazing. If you like Jane Austen novels, gorgeous dresses and the social politics of that era, this is the game for you.
If you like the dashing action of Sharpe and Hornblower and Temeraire, this is the game for you.
I'm pimping this game a) because it's awesome, and b) because I'm looking to recruit some more people for my group, The Szlachta Sierota. We are a group of Polish nobility who are currently wandering around Europe trying to find a new home, as Russia has invaded and is occupying our country. We are also currently gearing up to try and take our revenge on Russia, so there is lots of plot to get stuck in to! Whether you want to play a noble, a soldier, a magician, a surgeon, we can fit anything into the group and you will be welcomed with open arms
We can offer kit, our very own awesome priest (played by Jules), vodka, angst, guilt and PLOT by the bucket-load
