Well since I'm depressed as hell over my kitchen situation (they had better have the water on by 5pm tonight. I can't ask my children (much less myself) to go without water (and as a result the toilet) all night and we can't afford to go out to eat)
So things we need to get:
New bed (ours is absolutely painful to sleep on)
New clothes for everyone. We are doing ok on clothes but it would be nice to get nicer looking stuff for work and such. ANd I love "dressing up" my kids. Ryan keeps dropping pants sizes that he is down to a 31 pants now and his smallest current pair are like a 34 so they fall off of him.
CONTACTS (for both Ryan and I) my glasses give me a headache and we both look better in contacts.
Now as far as what I want. Let's start with going through the house and the improvements I want to make:
Master bedroom: new carpet, paint walls, window treatments, refinish woodwork, new bedding (and of course new bed mentioned above) new dresser and entertianment center, bedside tables, lamps, main light fixture
Connor's room: paint, new bedding, slip cover for loveseat, window treatments, dresser
Katya's room: window treatments, carpet, bedding
Alek's room: window treatments, wall art, dresser, bedding
Bathroom: new tub/shower (clawfooted tub prefered), new wall paneling, toilet, sink, window treatment, medicine cabinet, tear out cubby wall, paint, light fixture
hallway: new carpet, paint walls, window treatments, banister
Living room: border on entry way, paint, area rug, love seat, club chair (or two club chairs and no love seat), end table, finish woodwork, reface fireplace, new fireplace door/screen, wood basket, window treatments, stained glass windows for fireplace wall, refinish mirror above fireplace, artwork
dining room: refinish built in, window treatments, chandaler, refinish table, reupholster chairs, paint
Kitchen: new cabinets/cupboards, countertop, new sink, microwave cart, paint, window treatment
Nook: paint, window treatments
Basement: dry wall, paint, flooring, ceiling, lighting, cat condo, window treatments, bar, bathroom
Laundry: storage, paint, flooring
Front porch: glider/porch swing, wood bin (bin that opens from the top to store firewood in)
Front Yard: rose bushes, fill in holes near driveway, new pavers, trash can "bin" (wooden storage bin that the trash cans are in and can open from the top to put trash in the trash cans and from the side to pull out the trash cans),
Back Yard; Garden, remove wood pile, clear out overgrowth along garage, security light
Garage: install electricity, storage, insulation
That's what I can think of right now. Basically...lots.
