THE MEME

1 - Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.

2 - I will respond; I'll ask you five questions.

3 - You'll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.

4 - You'll include this explanation.

5 - You'll ask other people five questions if they want to be interviewed.

1) Do you think the Angel and Buffy franchises have run their commercial course, or do you think there are more stories for Mutant Enemy et. al. to tell?
Hard to say... I'm still a bit behind in the comics but I'm spoiled enough to know that I'm not gonna like what's to come. I think that the writers (including Joss) let their relationships with the actors slant where the stories are going and there's been enough time passed that it's no longer organic from the show itself. I've been largely disappointed with S8 simply because it does not seem to me to be a continuation of S7 and the story I loved there.
I myself can understand how this happens, as a producer of my own shows, I tend to want to write roles for actors who I enjoy working with and sadly some of the people cast in major roles have been disappointments to work with. So I can understand where Joss & co are coming from, it just saddens me.
So I guess I think that's a long way of saying no. I don't think ME can probably tell the right stories in the universe anymore. I do think that there are plenty of amazing writers who have though.

2) How did you get into writing fanfiction?
I largely didn't. I've had a couple of dabbles into writing actual fiction, mostly written as presents for others. Other than that, I've done a decent amount of writing for the Between the Lines shows, from cleaning up other's writing to writing half of my own scripts, or entire mini episodes. I guess you can say I came to it (what little I've done) through podcasting.

3) If someone handed you a million dollars, free and clear, no strings, no taxes, would you quit your job, start a new career or travel?
I'm actually very fortunate to be in the career I am in. I did the "work to pay the bills" thing and then once I met my husband I was given the freedom to really pursue my true interests. I went back to school and finally landed in a job I LOVE (technology, books, kids, what more could I want?). I've never been huge on travel, although if I wanted to, I certainly could. No, if I were given a large amount of cash, I would likely build my fantasy bathroom or move to a house that has one.

4) When you think of your S.O., what's the first thing that comes to mind?
Love. I am very lucky to have him in my life and I can't imagine life without him.

5) Captain Malcolm Reynolds or The Doctor? *grin*
Actually I'm more of a Spike/Topher gal than either of those. I don't watch DW (long story) and although I appreciate Mal, I've never been attracted to him.
