I think that they were turkey vultures, not falcons or hawks.

Still, they were a good omen, as vultures always are. It was awesome to see them wheeling over the rite in ones-and-twos, followed by more and more joining, until they became a full kettle, flying right there above the rite.

They were a very good omen! I think we done good yesterday. :)

I'm going to email you soon about some introspection I've done in conjunction with this whole Nine Moons, contemplative meditation thing, although I think I already know what you're going to say.

Damn the torpedoes and anyone else who stands in your way? Because that's what I think I would say.

Heh, that's a good portion of it, yes. :) There's more, and when you have time, I'd still like to see those directions to that fire from my trance experience we discussed at the Liturgy meeting.

Yeah, they were too dark underneath to be raptors. But I couldn't see bald heads from where I was so I wasn't sure what they were.

Not two hours ago, I was brushed by a hawk as she went after a squirrel near me as I was headed to a meeting (her wingtip grazed my face). Definitely not the birds we saw yesterday.

They were turkey vultures. As long at it was nature I am ok with that. ;)
