Just finished up my first day at the new part time job at a bookstore and so far enjoying it. The day flew by and my feet hurt, but I suspect that's since my last job was a desk job where I was sitting down 90% of the day. I'll get used to it.
I also ended up staying 15 minutes past when I was supposed to but I didn't mind. A dad came in in a panic because his daughter hadn't done all the summer reading she needed to before starting 10th grade, so he had a list of books and we found the shortest one. We wound up going with All Quiet On the Western Front. He was on the phone with her asking if books were okay and it was cute.
It also definitely helps my mood to feel like a productive member of society.
