And "Troy" burns to the ground again...

I just got back from a free screening of "Troy"...and all i can say is that i went into the movie with NO expectations at all, and the movie lived up to my lack of expectations.

Granted the costumes were cool and some of the one on one combat scenes were cool, but everything else was not up to par especiall when it comes to such a great cast. Overall the movies script was terrible and actually quite comedic at points...you know it's not good when the whole audience is laughing at a intimate moment.

some good points were you get to see the gorgeous bodies of Brad, Orlando, and Eric Bana...to bad American films don't do the whole full frontal. They should the female fans would enjoy it much more. Instead we all get a great shot of Helen's ass. :\

First of all the movie should not be called "Troy", but "Achilles" since the movies ends as soon as Achilles dies.

The script as i stated before is awful. All of Paris' lines made him sound like a moron and a coward, and his one too many "But I love her" lines make him sound pathetic. It like watching Will turner again, only this time he is in a serious film. There were also times when off course Orlando gets to use his trusty bow and arrow. Especially at the final scene between him and Achilles all i could think of was LEGOLAS! How can a half-god defeat an elf?! hahaha Oh yeah Orlando had way too much eye make up on who looked rather...feminine.

Anyway enough about Paris...now to Helen...Diane Kruger should have stuck to modeling...she CANNOT act!! And the first scene that they should helen the guy sitting next to me went "UGH!" he was horrifed and thought she was ugly. I'm not saying shes ugly i'm just saying Helen could've been played by someone prettier or a better actress.

Brad Pitt played an interesting Achilles at first it was hard to see him as Achilles but as the movie progressed it worked. what can i say the man is gorgeous and his body. *drool* as great as an actor Brad Pitt is no one could save this script.

The guy who played Patrocles...Garret Hedlund looks like a younger Brad Pitt I can see why phoenix_blythe has him up on her hot men list. There was also a kid in the movie that looked like a young Orlando Bloom. its like they are casting doubles in this movie or something.

I think Hector, Eric Bana, was the best character acting wise. Eric Bana did a very good job protraying Hector even though I've always hated Hector in all the books i've read.

I liked Sean Bean as Odysseus, but i couldn't help but think its Boromir! for a split second.

All the older actors portraying Menelaus, Priam, Agamemnon we're decent. again main problem was the script.

There were also other problems of closes of expressions that seemed totally inappropriate, but then i again i could have been the acting. It is like all the wonderful actors we know all of sudden forgot how to act.

Last but not last the score was awful, I don't know the score did not help the film at all and i was surprise to find that James Horner wrote it. I guess he should stick to scores for celtic and irish themes. but the ending song was a song sung by Josh Groban and some other chick, on good thing i guess.

Overall bad script, bad acting, bad score, and interesting fight scenes could not save "Troy" from burning then and now. Hey at least it was free!

movies, hot guys, ugh, reviews
