It is Most Definitely You and NOT Me!
Dear Oxford English Dictionary,
I was willing to accept you when you added words like "doh" and "muggles" into the dictionary. But last month I had started to reevaluate our relationship when I made this post.
But today when I saw this. I knew it was time to end it. <3 is not even a WORD! Why OED?! Why?! We had a good thing going here! I thought we were on the same page, and I ignored your flaws for the past several years because I loved you! But... I'm sorry. I have standards, and the fact that you embrace textspeak hurts the English Nerd in me. And now you're adding emoticons?!!
Maybe you should add :'( to your vocabulary. Because you made me sad.
At least we will always have my Pocket OED and the 2nd Edition OED in my Kindle.
Goodbye. And as Ike Broflovski would say, "You're Dead to me!"
