Long weekends are never long enough. Especially when your job sucks ass. Gawd, I hate this place. I really do... I'm just holding out until I finish school which isn't until July. *headdesk* But this is just one of those days this place is really just intolerable. Not to mention the aunt that I work with is psychotic. I don't mind when my boss tells me I need to get something done, because well it's my boss. But when my aunt has to jump in and tell me again, it annoys the crap out of me because well... she's PSYCHOTIC!
Maybe right now people are just annoying me in general. My friends are insisting I have a social life. I'm all for it, but going out every weekend is tiresome and it really cuts into my writing/reading/vidding time. Some people don't understand that sometimes I just want to stay at home for a weekend. I might have to stay offline or turn off my phone or something. Because I have so much catching up to do. Not to mention another ten-page paper to write.
Also yesterday I was almost done with a new Sparky vid when Premiere Pro decided to crash. Okay, it crashed I didn't mind to much becuase I was sure I remembered to save it, but apparently Adobe decided NOT to save it and I lost pretty much everything. Grrrr. So I'm back where I started at 26 seconds instead of done. Argh. Luckily, I wasn't happy with the "final" edit I was supposed to finish anyway. So this time maybe I'll do an edit I'm happy with. At this rate, I won't have any vids done buy the time the season 3 finishes.
Aside from being annoyed at the universe in general, I did go shooting on Sunday with my friends. I've always wondered what it was like to shoot a gun and a shotgun and now I know. There were about ten of us we went over to the house of a friend, who is also a Marine. So he gave us a quick rundown on gun handling safety, how to load a gun, what not to do, and all that fun stuff that will keep you from getting killed. After that we headed down to the shooting range and we bascially started shooting different guns:
1.)
Smith & Wesson -
.22 caliber 2.)Sigpro 2340 - .40 cal
3.)
Heckler & Koch USP - 9mm
4.)
Beretta 92 - 9mm
5.)Smith & Wesson SW1911 - .45 cal
6.)Smith & Wesson - .357 cal, Revolver
7.)Smith & Wesson - .44 cal, Revolver
8.)
Mossberg 500 - shotgun
At first the Sigpro 2340 scared the crap out of me, since I was standing in the lane next to it and when someone fired it I could feel air from the gun go through the lane divider and it startled me. Then later Ben, the marine, would shoot the Sigpro. Since he is pretty tall whenever the shells we ejected it ejected over the divider into my side. Which is disconcerting when you're trying to aim at a target and you see these hot shells flying over your head. Not to mention how loud it was. But after shooting all the guns I think the Sigpro and 9mm Beretta were my favorites. After shooting the .45 the Sigpro felt like nothing. Shooting the shotgun was also very interesting.
Overall, it was an interesting experience. It sort of made me miss archery. My friend said next time they plan to go down to Camp Pendelton and shoot out there. That would be pretty interesting as well.
Also my thumb hurts from trying to jam bullets into the magazien cartridge after the fifth or sixth bullets the suckers are hard to push in! My thumb still sort of hurts, but that may also be due to playing Smash Brothers Melee for about an hour...
Because I was watching "Freaks and Geeks" and "Heroes" before going to bed I had this weird dream of James Franco being a traitor and Claire (the cheerleader in "Hereos) and I had to search for him and we ended up in a bathroom kicking in doors trying to find him. Then we find out there were 4 other people hiding in the bathroom. And this one "tough chick" pulls out a gun on us and starts shooting. We run for cover and Franco grabs me and drags me outside away from the shooting spree. After everything quiets down, we were supposed to make our way back to the group, but it starts pouring rain. I think Claire was off to one side because she just didn't trust Franco one bit so she's off to the side getting soaked too. Anyways I guess we were trying to wait out the storm but our shelter wasn't doing much, so I was still getting soaked. But even though I was supposed to take Franco in for being a traitor, he insisted on being a gentleman and used his body to shield the rain from me. Most of this time I was being paranoid because he's the traitor! But I let him because it's James Franco! lol Then that's why I realize the static noise I kept hearing was my alarm and not the rain. *sigh*
ETA: OMG! I just realized that Eli the retarded kid in "Freaks and Geeks" is
Ben Foster aka Archangel in X3!
