I will squeeze the juice from your mind grapes

I've been a busy little panda. Most of my pre-move chores are done. So the busy-ness is having fun before the 5th. I must say the last few days have been very good.

Last night I got to hang out and have lots of girly fun. And I just finished watching Mystic River with mom.

Also, I finally after much hassling heard back from Dr Hornback about my Shakespeare paper from the spring. I wouldn't usually care, but I really enjoyed writing this paper; and we had several conversations about it. I wrote about Shakespeare's incorporation of witchcraft, and the fear of a diabolical presence in his plays. Plus, I was terrified because Dr Hyman rather crushed any belief I had in my ability to write literary analysis... So all those things considered, the email he sent me was the most encouraging and affirming feedback I've received. He reccommended I take a problem that I only had time to barely hint at and turn into something I should submit for publication. And as nervous as I was about mixing disciplines I was surprisingly comfortable with blendind fiction, primary historical sources, and secondary scholars. Basically, this news puts me in a good academic mood for the beginning of my grad school career. So I'm really excited to be researching things again. (Don't judge.)

Now to Rummy with mom then hopefully sleep.
