3G's, baby
In case you were living under a rock yesterday (or you're not a tech geek, lol), Apple just announced a July release of iPhone 3G! The new iPhone will come in 8 or 16 GB, will have built-in GPS and push email. The headphone jack will also be flush, correcting the problem that infuriated a lot of owners of the 1st generation iPhone.
The price is even lower than before at $199/$299 respectively for 8GB/16GB - there's really no excuse not to own the coolest phone in the world. ;) I think they're gearing for a wider world launch as well.
The best news is, firmware update will be available for 1st generation users in early July - which means 3rd party apps, yay! Some of the apps are going to be free, including (I believe), a language capable writing tool with text recognition that will let you type things into the iPhone in Japanese! Way cool. ♥

Some friends are throwing a Top Chef viewing party in celebration of the final episode tomorrow night. \(^o^)/ We all have our "Quick Fire Challenge" - a dish we have to bring in to be judged. I was chosen to bring in... *drumroll* cheese and crackers! Lol. I think this is testament to their confidence level for my (non?)cooking skillz.
I stopped at the Whole Foods (in manner of Top Chef) to stock up on 5 different kinds of cheeses, along with flat breads, strawberries, Fuji apples and grapes. Is it Wednesday yet??
