Omi x Nagi fic with Piipa is off to a start! It feels good to be writing again, as I've been meaning to put ideas to prose for a while, but never really get there.
RPing wk has gotten me flipping through Ja! Weiss again. I came across this pretty story featuring Yohji that I had to share. ♥ Any Yohji fans on flist? I think this particular story portrays his dilemma rather well. He would much better serve himself if he didn't make attachments to people. And yet despite his easy going attitude and seemingly playboy ways, he's invested in a manner that inevitably leaves him scarred in the end.
[[ download ]] Summary:
Yohji blows off work to go on a date with a girl, and Omi protests...but Aya tells him to let him go, because in this line of work, one must find some solace where they can. As Yohji drives off, he remembers Asuka, and how he never really knew how much she meant to him until she was gone. Since then, he had vowed never to get too close to anyone.
Later, Manx is briefing them on their next mission and Yohji discovers that their next target is the woman he's been dating. He volunteers for the job, and when Omi objects, he says, "Don't worry...I'm Weiss, too."
He goes to see her and gives her flowers. She says he looks stunning tonight...and that unlike usual, his gaze isn't closed off - that she can see herself reflected in his eyes. "Kiss me," she says. And before she can stab him with her poison needle, he whips out his wire and kills her.
He tells Omi later that it was a good thing the breakup came fast, before he had really formed an attachment. But he says he'd rather not kill women, especially beautiful ones.
As he drives off, he thinks to himself, "I won't let it get serious, and by doing so I won't get hurt. ...but this is just an excuse, and in reality - I already know that I'm betraying someone."
And it makes me so heartbroken...so heartbroken I don't think I can sleep alone tonight, either.
