Chitose seems to speak in the classic Hakata dialect (north west end of Kyushu) so I imagine he's from Fukuoka. Same with Tachibana. (Edit: Tachibana is from Kumamoto, just south of Fukuoka).

Niou on the otherhand, is impossible to place. For some reason, I kept thinking he was from Kyushu too, but looking back now on the instances where he speaks in the manga, it seems this was just something I had picked up from doujins, which usually place him in Kyushu. I've most often read him as having an Oita accent in doujins. But in the manga, he has no continuity. "Minshai" sounds like "minsai," spoken in Hiroshima. Likewise with "jake" also from Hiroshima dialect. On the otherhand, he says "zeyo" which is Shikoku, probably Tosa. Without actually hearing him speak, I can't really tell where he's from. Somewhere south west, at least. But it is also quite possible he uses messed up dialect from all over just for kicks. Interestingly, he refused to answer the question of where he was from, when asked in one of those fan surveys.
