Man lots has happened since I last did a "real" post...

1. Gary rocks. He's the art dealer I've been working with. We've been doing inventory for the last 2 weeks so that he can put it up on artnet (go to artnet.com and search Gary Bruder LLC.) He only has a few things up now, but eventually he will have LOTS more. We had a photographer come and he took 72 pictures at 50 bucks each... damn... I love being in the city though. Our apt. is really cute. We never lived there as a family of course cuz its only 1 room, its where my mom used ot live in the '70s. So anyways..

Gary's show at Loring Gallery in Sheffield, MA opens tm and goes until the 6th of July. He's showing Some Picasso's, Warhol's, Lichtenstein's, Wesselman's, Lautrec's, and some things by this guy named Russell Young who I'd never heard of. Apparently he's like crazy and on a lot of drugs, but he's gaining popularity. Gary keeps saying over and over, he's the next warhol hahaha we'll see. He also has a Renoir print, a Chagall (eh not a fan) and a Matisse, which I almost pissed my pants when I saw. I really like Matisse, and this print is really beautiful. It's probably my favorite thing in the show. Really cool stuff though. I am so lucky that I get to handle it. We set up the show today. It was like setting up an exhibit at a museum, which I think is so interesting, so I had a great day, thank you. :)

2. Express is cool. I got a 50% discount off my first purchase up to $300. So I bought 250 worth of clothes for 125. Sweet. Gary wants me to quit unfortunately, which I probably will do soon even though I dont want to. I will for him though cuz he's a close friend. I love the guy and he's paying me almost twice as much sooo.. ok.

3. Apollo's eye looks funny. Poor babe

4. I'm reading an incredible book right now. I've been meaning to read it for 2 or 3 years and finally I got it from the library. It's called The Kite Runner. It's depressing as hell, but damn good. Takes place in Afghanistan (and later America). EVeryone should read it. I'm almost at the end, and I hope the end is uplifting otherwise I just might jump off a building. I'm kidding.

5. Dad is finally getting a new motorcycle. It's an '86 BMW. He's been looking for that particular bike for quite a while now and he finally found one near Utica. Poor guy... He's spent his life on a motorcycle. He started riding as a kid before he even got his license, but he hasn't ridden in like 15 years or more so I think he was having withdrawal haha. He has his old bike in our barn/garage somewhere buried. So this BMW is his old man bike, and hopefully we'll get the other one out one day! He went out to see it today and the guy is dropping it off tomorrow morning. I'm probably just as excited as he is. I've been wanting to ride a motorcycle since before I can remember. When I was like 5 and 6 I remember playing in the barn iwth my friends before there was lots of stuff there and always looking at it and touching it and telling my friends, yea that's my dad's motorcycle. hahaha I am lame yes.

That's pretty much it I suppose. Mom's at a bell choir conference for a few days, so I have to go make dinner now. I have the day off tomorrow miraculously!
