Humbugs

Last night we had a very lovely mulled wine party, attended by several people including the brave
invisible_al who ventured from lovely Brighton to be with us in war-torn Tooting.  I am hoping he is still my friend even though he was up and gone by the time myself and my terrible 80s morning hair were up and about.
wingsmith is lovely and bought me roses and pancakes, the former for display, the latter for breakfast with maple syrup.  And also a nice cup of tea.  I love him a vast ocean of amounts.  It was one of those small but perfectly formed gatherings, and much fun was had.

Today my beautiful and recently engaged friend hosted a mulled wine party.  This is a traditional girls only event, so her fiance had to be booted out of their exquisite Maida Vale flat and sent to the pub with the boyfriends of other attendees, which was nice.  I always get a wee bit jealous as she has fantastic taste and everything she has / does is always just spot on and very classy from bloke to house to everything.  She had also made a lot of rather tasty and festive food including gingerbread reindeer and pate with cranberries on warm baguette, so I can forgive her anything.  A very hungover
queenspanky managed to drop by for a few minutes, but then had to head home for restorative bath.  I made sure I had plenty of fruit by dosing up on Pimms Winter Cup which is a nice little tipple I have to say.  Made of apples.  Mostly apples.

The people next door are having some sort of party, only I fear that they may have no electronic items in their house as people are singing* and clapping along to songs that I can only presume are from the good old days.  This should stop soon.  By one means or another.
