Its flipping me out a bit that I've got less than a month until summer holidays! I'll be doing Host Scheme as a mega host this summer, should be fun and hopefully will get to go on at least 2 camps :)

This weekend has been a weekend and a half really. Friday went to uni, then met up with Adam and went to see the Picasso exhibition at NGV. Walking up St Kilda rd towards the gallery, I decided to call my Mum to tell her we were going as she is an Art Historian, and saw that she was sitting by entrance with a catalogue in her hand and Dad next to her about to fall asleep. Quite a coincidence I thought. So I got to go see the exhibition and with a tour guide :P haha Funny the only time I decide to go to the gallery she's there! My childhood was full of going to the galleries and museums with her and spending countless weekends at the Bailleu library at Melbourne Uni, usually sitting in the photocopying room, getting free stuff out of the vending machines or getting free internet with my laptop. I did of course, for old time sake lay down in the stained glass ceiling room at the gallery to look up at the coloured glass. They were serving what looked like very fancy wines and food so we tried to look inconspicuous, I think one of the security guards was trying not to laugh at me. I used to love doing that when I was about 4, and well everytime I could when we went there, including sticking my hands on the waterwall in the entrance to the museum. Mum did that with me too.

We then went off to Caffeine to the monthly 2600 meeting, hadn't been for quite a few months as I was told as soon as I got there. I asked Tony if they were still serving Thai food and he proceeded to drag me into the kitchen by my hair to tell me the only food they had was chicken. He tells us off for being vegetarian. He still makes the best vegetarian food haha. Was great to see everyone again, including meeting a regular's wife to be and finding a friend is joining the army. I didn't want to leave but Frank, Jase and Deej dragged me off to the Corner Hotel to see Laura. The gig was good, probably not as good at their gig at The Spanish Club, but mostly because I was getting really tired and I couldn't see a thing. We drove off home to one of the best sing-a-longs in Jase's ute, listening to Ramble on by Zep and Jase announcing I could have sworn I heard a Lord of the Rings reference in this song. I said well then, we should play you Battle of evermore again... haha

Coming home they had a few more drinks and wondering what to do I had a look over to our dvds and noticed that DJ had the Neverending Story, which of course I grabbed, drooled all over and stuck it straight in the dvd player. Was very cool to see it in widescreen and with Dj's wicked set up. Very cool, but of course as it was getting towards 4am I fell asleep half way through.

Saturday night was Hilary's awaited 21st party. Took us ages to get there and probably half the time to finish our bottle of vodka. I didn't even feel drunk so that experience of the disapearing vodka was a little strange. Met some really cool people, lost yet another nose stud and unfortunately was unable to go to the after party as I needed to do a group project today. I was vindicated when Frank stumbled through the door at 9:15 tonight looking a little worse for wear and greener than I've seen him for quite a while. He passed out within an hour on the couch half watching Supersize me. I got my work done, had fun playing with powerpoint (yes I'm a geek) and I think he had more than enough fun for me. Now I'm waiting for my Ipod to finish updating since I put half a gig of new music on my computer today. Much needed, much overdue. Much goodness.... mmm :)

Sleep well everyone xox
