Random weekends are often the best type
Had quite a full on week. I'm so exhausted, but now I have to study. Had plans as per usual to do heaps but its far from what actuated.
Worked heaps this week, didn't study so much, which kinda sucks. Sleeping patterns still shot to shit, and my original mob number still isn't working.
Got drunk on Friday night, evil evil vodka. This time due to Keenan and not
slinger8. Got to sleep at 6am and luckily didn't wake up with a hangover.
Saturday went out to dinner with a friend, Hillary, to Samurai on Glenferri Rd, I'd forgotton how good value that restaurant is, not much for vegetarians tho. Drunk vodka on the train :P yay for Safeway liquor and discount cards. Started our bar hopping at the Elephant and The Wheelbarrow, half expecting to bump into
tequillasuicide and
marie_claire_. The place looked closed until the bouncer told us the power had gone out and they were lighting the entire place with candles and emegency lighting. After another trip to safeway liquor - yay for QV we met up with Keenan and Ash after a gig they did at the Beach Hotel. Decided to drink on the steps of the State Library while Ash showed us his new purple fluroesant glow balls. Damn they are cool. He wanted to busk, but didn't have a hat, or anyone to busk to. We then walked to Pugs on Hardware lane as Hillary was getting drunk and wanted somewhere cheesy to go to, when the band weren't playing they were actually playing pretty good tunes. We decided to trek to St Kilda, then came up with a better idea to go to Flinders Lane, where Hillary and I wanted to go to the Purple Emerald, but we rocked up earlier in the night at about 9 and there was no one around. Ash got THE best parking space ever. Right next to the Bottle O and about 3 doors down from Delirium, our next stop. We got some more drinks, sat in the car and watched about 5 guys carrying another guy passed out from no where in particular, looking like he was going to munt everywhere anytime soon.
However Ash decided that a better idea would be to jump on top of the bonnet of his car while twirling two glo staffs. Very random since we were on the corner of Flinders lane and Elizabeth st. Keenan jumped on the boot of the car and starting using his practice poi. Very funny. Especailly when
onegiantrabbit drove past and stopped because he saw Keenan. We eventually made it into Delirium, were there were good tunes, but not many people and over priced shots. Hillary and I spent $36 on shots while Keenan and Ash wowed the crowd with their glo juggling. Then over to the place across the road, wish I could remember what it was called. Really chilled place but the city on the whole seemed to be having a slow night. More juggling, more drinks, and the service was so friendly and good there I didn't even have to ask for cigarettes they were literally given to me. Wanted to join everyone down at Golgotha, but it didn't seem worth the door charge, $15 wasn't it? Although I would have danced with you
wraithstalker and made a good wingmanwoman, but Hillary was about to pass out. Not sure if it was the alcohol or the massages that were being circulated. Back home and passed out a couple hours later after a good listen to
The Doors that Ash and I were craving.
One of the best nights I've had in a while.:)
