In which I introduce myself
Hello, everybody. I'm 15, I live in the Bay Area, and of course I'm an atheist. My dad's side of the family is Jewish, my mom's is Christian, and the four of us that share this particular address are a happy little family of "heathens." I'm more open about it than my parents, and so far I haven't had anyone come to me personally and try to convert me (unless you count the guys in sixth grade who stood outside the parking lot and were waving bright orange mini-bibles around, which I mistook for free notebooks...)
I was surprised recently to find out that my community has a relatively large population of atheists, but soon after I was more surprised to find out that a significant chunk of my biology class doesn't believe in evolution.
