Once more, Catching Up

Jul 28, 2008 17:02

So, after the lovely day, and evening, out in London on Thursday I somewhat predictable went into hide-from-the-world mode once more. I slept in until mid-late afternoon Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

I did manage to surface in time on Sunday to go raiding in WoW. We once more killed Rage Winterchill in Mount Hyjal on something like the 4th attempt, maybe the 5th. A wipe or two were on trash and I think it was 3 actual attempts at Rage Winterchill himself. Then we got Anatheron to come and play 3 times, but didn't do too well on him. The main thing is the adds. Looks like we need to get a tank or two geared up with good Fire Resistance gear and/or take more healers (we had I think only 6 last night).

Today has been productive. I went out around 14:25, first stopping at the local post office to send off a few items of mail that had arrived here for my landlord. Then onto the doctors for a quick appointment, mostly to get a new prescription for the damned Quetiapine. I made it clear I'm not really happy on it due to the sedative effect, but obviously it will be the psychiatrist's call on the 18th August as to if I stay on it or not. I'm certainly going to say "HELL NO!" to a higher dose if he suggests that when I tell him the current dose is doing no good (will have been on 2x100mg/day for 5.5 weeks by then).

I dropped the prescription off at the pharmacy then went into Fleet proper to arrange an eye test (Friday 11:20) and then generally wander around. I finally remembered to buy some fuses (I'd been sharing a 13A one between my fan heater and cooling fan, switching with the season). A nice pack of 10 (2x 3amp, 3x 5amp and 5x 13amp).

As I'd skipped lunch I grabbed a Twix and an Oasis from the WH Smiths before dropping by the library to find another book by Sheri S. Tepper. I've not long since finished "Sideshow" and I very much enjoyed it, so I definitely want to read more of her stuff. This new-to-me one is "Raising the Stones" and looks to be set in the same universe, and earlier. At least "Sideshow" isn't a direct sequel so I don't think I'll have missed much by reading out of order.

Thence back home via the pharmacy to pick up the filled prescription and home via a stop at the Tesco Local for a pizza, some milk, 2 bell red peppers, 2 courgettes and some mushrooms. I'll be eating yummy pasta tonight, and maybe a stir fry tomorrow or Wednesday.

opticians, quetiapine, books, wow, food
