Sherwood, I didn't know you had Crown Duel published in Thai? I was ready to submit a review on Goodreads when I noticed CD had an alternate book cover for a Thai translation. I find book covers fascinating from both an artistic and marketing perspective. So I searched on Google and found larger images of the Thai books:

I did not know that! If Harcourt sold those, I don't even get royalties--that company went bankrupt, and whoever's pocket the royalties land in isn't mine.

Ah, well. Beautiful covers--and yeah, it looks like the artist actually read the book! Thank you for posting that!

Thats ridiculous! How can they sell your book without giving you royalties!

I've never received a penny for any of my stuff translated into Russian. Maybe if I was a big seller the publishers would consider it worthwhile to pursue, or if I had a foreign agent, but nope and nope.

It's annoying, but o n the other hand I get a steady (if modest) stream of Russians checking out my website, so someone over there has to be reading them.

You didn't know?! OMG The books were published like 10 years ago. I am Thai and that one is the first books I read from you. The translator even translated your online outtakes from the other perspectives onto their publisher website, I think.
I think the translation is great, except the title become "moon crown". I always wonder where does moon come from.

I had no idea! Thank you for letting me know.

And I have no idea where the moon would come from, either!
