king's shield spoilers
I haven't posted on here for quite a while, but I did just finish kings's shield, and I think it's been my favorite so far...
Partly I think because of my tendency toward wanting things to seem resolved. I don't have the crazy sense of I-can't-believe-I-have-to-wait-a-year. But, there is that lovely sense of anticipation for the rest of the story.
Observations:
Hadand is (possibly) carrying Tau's child = Dei heir. Interesting. Will Evred never suspect it's not his?
Branid is (possibly) going to marry Dannor... that combination does not bode well.
Inda and Tdor actually got married = sweet. (for some reason I had bitterly convinced myself they would not ever be)
The rest is just speculation over what certain things will mean, like Jeje finding Tau's mother and Barend going off to get treasure/possibly build a fleet, what Signi will do, what more Venn involvement will mean, what will the dynamics of Evred, Hadand, Inda, and Tdor running the kingdom be, etc.
