I should have started working on my Rimbaud paper hours ago. Unfortunately, I was busy napping, eating, folding laundry, and discussing the nature of god, so I didn't. Now I'm tired (really, really tired) and it's 12:30. So, I'm choosing to write an outline of the things that I still want to add to the paper to help me get started tomorrow, and hoping that I can finish it and write my entire poli sci final/paper tomorrow and pack to go home. Getting more than 2.5 hours of sleep tonight for the first time in several days may help me to be productive. Desperation may also help.
Finals checklist:
French oral & written: double check
Stat: a better check than expected
Game Theory: a passable check
Lit paper: about half/two-thirds done. need to write 4-5 more pages and edit.
Poli Sci final: Not yet started. "Pro or Con: All politics are identity politics. To distinguish between identity politics and class politics is to rely on a bogus and outdated distinction." Definitely arguing against the 2nd sentence, but I haven't yet figured out which authors from the course to reference. This would be a really fun topic if I had more than one night in which to do it. There's no assigned length, but Ken says he recommends 8-10 pages. For a take-home final?! Bah.
Good things:
- Awesome question on the game theory final about “Prime Minister Anthony” and “President Brash” and strategic investment in a joint international endeavor. (Hold-up problem, Mama!)
- Lunch with Matt and Jason, involving a long, terribly un-PC, hilarious discussion about “those Asians.”
- Nap
- Spending money on Christmas presents.
- Eating Angie-cooked “ployes” and beans while arguing with Lea about the nature of god. She says god is person-like, with subjectivity and ego. Methinks not.
